Wolseley UK has been shortlisted for a Yorkshire and Humber Regional Impact Award in the Employee Volunteering Team of the Year category.

The construction products and materials provider joins two other companies on the shortlist who were able to demonstrate the positive impact made by their volunteering activities in the community.

Now in their 15th year, the awards, organised by Business in the Community, aim to showcase the best of responsible business in the Yorkshire and Humber area.

Louise Hancox, head of central finance at Wolseley UK, said: “In the space of eight months Ripon colleagues have provided over 1,000 man hours of community volunteering in the area. This type of work not only assists organisations within our community but enhances our team building and interpersonal skills, so we all gain from the experience.”

The awards ceremony takes place in Harrogate on June 21,
