Hambleton’s commitment to providing excellent customer service has been consigned to print!

A new customer charter has been adopted by the district council describing the standards all customers can expect – as well as what they can do to help the authority.

Those promises include everything from treating everyone equally and with respect; being courteous; and making sure waiting times are kept to a minimum, to wearing name badges and providing a wide range of leaflets and information.

Officers also want to hear customer’s compliments, suggestions and complaints to help with improvements and identify good practice.

“We are committed to providing and this charter reinforces this statement,” said Cabinet Member, Coun Tim Swales.

“We have hundreds of people coming through our doors every week at Northallerton’s Civic Centre and at the area offices in Stokesley and Easingwold, and everyone should expect the same high standard of service.

“This charter also applies to people who contact us in other ways, by phone, letter or e mail.”
