Firefighters from Boroughbridge were called to Dishforth on Thursday, August 2 to rescue frogs trapped beneath a trampoline.

An RSPCA inspector called the fire brigade to help free the frogs stuck in a concrete hole on the village’s playing field.

The crew dismantled the trampoline to free the amphibians.

“Unfortunately one frog was fatal, but the other 12 and a newt were released,” a spokesman said.
