New water leak nightmare for popular cafe in Knaresborough
Readers may remember how the popular Old Ticket Office at Knaresborough railway station suffered a series of closures during a nightmare two years of leaks and power cuts in a wrangle involving three major companies
Co-owners mum and daughter Doreen and Amy Hodgson report that water is still coming in through what she says has always been the main culprit - the cafe's roof.

She says workmen have been here for nearly two weeks but without apparent improvement, not the best view for customers.
The nub of the problem for the unlucky owners of The Old Ticket Office cafe is who exactly is responsible for repairing the roof - whether it's the cafe's property agents Lambert Smith Hampton, who handle the property for Northern Rail, the latter who own the rail station and are, ultimately, responsible for its structural condition of the station or Network Rail, who are charged with carrying out the actual repairs on the station.
