Wath Street Fair: actor John Middleton who plays Ashley Thomas in Emmerdale opened the 2013 Wath Street Fair on Saturday, July 13 in glorious sunshine and a fantastic time was had by all with a magnificent £4,780.25 being raised for St Mary’s Church, Wath. A big thank you to everyone who ran all the events as well as those who attended.

Pudding Club: at Samwaies Hall, Wath on Friday, August 9 at 7.30-9.30pm. Have your main course at home then enjoy your pudding at Samwaies Hall. Feast on puddings created by Wath’s star cooks while being entertained by Jeepers Creepers -magician for grown ups! Tickets £6, proceeds to Samwaies Hall, contact 07514226855 for more information.

Calling Cleaners and Flower Arrangers: there will be a relaunch of the cleaning and flower rota for St Mary’s Church, Wath in September. If you are able to add your name to the list of volunteers who are so important in keeping the beautiful church looking its very best, please contact either Pauline Aldous on 01765 641255 or Jane Bastow on 01765 640365.
