Masham Youth Club: are putting on their very own Masham’s Got Talent on Thursday, December 13 at Masham Town Hall from 7-9pm. What will your talent be? Let’s see if Masham really does have talent! On Thursday, December 20, a night exercise is planned at a secret location, to be confirmed. Wrap up warm for an evening of hands on challenge and don’t forget to bring a torch! The Youth Club is for young people in Year 7 and above and meets at the Town Hall on Thursday evenings from 7-9pm. Christmas at Bivouac: in the Cafe Barn at Bivouac, near Ilton, near Masham, Ripon HG4 4JZ on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, December 14, 15 and 16 from 3-7pm. The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel: is Movies in Masham’s final film for the autumn/winter programme at Masham Town Hall on Tuesday, December 18 at 7pm. Treasure at The Gallery: is the theme of The Gallery’s exhibition at 24 Market Place, Masham. An exhibition of small but perfectly formed artworks. A delightful and delectable selection of tiny wonders from artists and makers around the UK. Jewellery, ceramics, textiles, paintings and prints from Rosie Scott-Massie, Josie Beszant, Sarah Morpeth, Shirley Vauvelle, Clare Webster, Claire West, Fiona Wilson, Ian Scott Massie and more. Acorns Pre-School in Masham: launches innovative Forest School at Hackfall. The first of its kind in the area, Acorns’ Forest School is an innovative approach to outdoor play and learning that has been developed to extend educational opportunities for the children beyond the conventional pre-school setting. The initiative is being led by Acorns’ trainee Forest Schools’ practitioner David Airton and is available to three and four-year olds attending Acorns Pre-School. The school provides a hands-on introduction to the natural woodland environment at Hackfall and aims to develop children’s intrinsic motivation, emotional and social skills through a series of themed outdoor sessions.
