Deborah Dargan – a senior cabin crew attendant with Jet2.com – landed the ‘Best Dressed Lady Racegoer’ prize at Thirsk’s recent Ladies’ Day meeting.
Deborah, from Barwick-in-Elmet near Leeds, caught the eye of the judges in a stunning Paule Vasseur designed pewter and blue strapless dress and bolero jacket, made from shot silk.
The winning look was completed with a striking hat designed by sister Rachael Wykes and matching accessories.
Her prizes included a £300 gift voucher from Barkers of Northallerton, a year’s subscription to Yorkshire Ridings magazine, plus champagne, chocolates and £50 of betting vouchers courtesy of totepool.
Deborah, who was at the races celebrating a friend’s 50th birthday, said she was ‘totally stunned’ by her victory.
“I only entered for a bit of fun after being egged on by my friends and I could not believe it when I realised I had won,” she said.
