‘Inspiring’ teenagers

Firefighters have been working to ‘inspire’ youngsters.

Eighteen young people from across Hambleton and Richmondshire took part in firefighting training held by North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service.

The course was run in partnership with Hambleton and Richmondshire Community Safety Partnership and North Yorkshire Police. ran two ‘Inspire’ courses at Colburn Fire Station.

Youngsters learnt about fire safety and anti-social behaviour, practical fire fighting and first aid training.

The aim was to help make them an inspiration to their peers and the communities they live in
