Martin House Children’s Hospice has launched its Festive and Fab campaign to raise funds for a memorable Christmas Eve party for families across Yorkshire.

Each year, the Boston Spa-based purpose-built facility invites all its children and young people, along with members of their family, to attend a day of festive treats and activities at its Grove Road base.

This December, the hospice hopes to get communities to raise the £15,000 needed to fund an entire day’s care and a spectacular party for all attending.

Neil Annakin and nine-year-old daughter, Isabel, attend the festive celebrations at the hospice each year and the pair are already looking forward to this year’s event.

“We’ve been coming to Martin House every Christmas Eve for the past three years,” said Neil.

“It’s good to meet other families in a similar situation and Isabel gets a lot out of the activities and meeting different people.”

Donations of any amount can be made to the Festive and Fab campaign on JustGiving at bit.ly/Fab4MH. They can also spread the word by sharing a selfie on social media wearing their favourite festive outfit, using the hashtag #Fab4MH.
