The Clinical Commissioning Group leading discussions on the future of children’s and maternity services at the Friarage Hospital in Northallerton has launched a survey as part of its programme of engagement.
In addition to the series of public meetings, the Hambleton, Richmondshire and Whitby Clinical Commissioning Group has published a survey for people to share their previous experiences and give their views and opinions about local services and proposed changes.
Dr Vicky Pleydell, a local GP and the shadow accountable officer for the commissioning group, said: “This survey forms part of our public engagement exercise enabling us to gather people’s views. The results will feed into our decision-making process later this year so it’s really important that a wide-range of people take the time to fill it in.
“In the last few weeks my colleagues and I have spoken to lots of people at our public meetings, addressing concerns where we can and taking issues away for consideration when we cannot answer them at the time. We look forward to meeting many more people at the remaining meetings so we can continue to promote understanding and address any concerns.
“For those who cannot make these meetings we would strongly encourage them to fill in our survey so we can capture their feedback as well.”
The survey, along with a wide-range of information about the future of children’s and maternity services at the Friarage hospital, can be found and filled in online at www.nyypct.nhs.uk/friarage
Members of the public can also request a copy of the survey to be sent to them by telephoning 0800 0688000, emailing email@example.com or by writing to: Hambleton, Richmondshire and Whitby CCG, FREEPOST RSHB-UTRR-LZUA, The Hamlet, Hornbeam Park, Harrogate, HG2 8RE.
The deadline for submitting completed surveys is Monday, June 25.
