Advice is on offer for those in Harrogate who need help to quit smoking.

National No Smoking day takes place on Wednesday, March 12 and the North Yorkshire Stop Smoking Service, which is run by Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust, is reminding people of the support available.

“When you’re ready to quit, whether it’s No Smoking Day or any other day of the year, you can get help and support from North Yorkshire NHS Stop Smoking Service by calling 0300 303 1603” said Laura Henry, Service Manager.

Laura continued: “Stopping smoking is the best thing you can do for your health, and the most effective way to quit is with support from your local NHS Stop Smoking Service.

“Our expert advisors offer friendly and tailored support.

“Together we develop a plan to quit, including help to access stop smoking medicines.”

A recent quitter said: “I cannot give enough praise to (my advisor) whose continued support and perseverance enabled me to kick a 50-year habit.

“All previous attempts had failed, but her determination helped me to succeed.”

Call 0300 303 1603 to get help or find out more.
