RESIDENTS from Ripon and the rural community – including GPs, clergy, politicians, carers, voluntary services, teachers and school pupils – have met to talk about the future of Ripon Community Hospital.
Staff from Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust and the local Clinical Commissioning Group held a ‘World Café’ in Ripon on Wednesday, March 7.
The event highlighted lots of opportunities for the hospital to be a resource in the community and for the community to support local health services.
Suggestions included a café, a community hub with better links to other areas including Ripon Community House, links between leisure and health services and more opportunities for young people to volunteer in the hospital.
The ideas will be considered as part of the overall strategy for local health services.
