Grewelthorpe Sports and Social Association: are holding their Easter Fleamaket at Masham Town Hall on Bank Holiday Monday, April 1 from 10am-4pm. This is an annual event to raise funds for the association which organises social events in Grewelthorpe. It is always popular being the first event after the long winter. Delicious refreshments, exciting stalls, bacon sandwiches and lots more. Entrance fee 50p. If you would like to book a stall for this event please contact Val Theakston on 01765 650085

Grewelthorpe Annual Village Ceilidh: come and join us for an evening of dancing to the traditional English music of The Village Hop Band. Tessa Goldsmith will be calling. Saturday, March 23 at Masham Town Hall from 8-11pm. (Doors open from 7.45pm)

Tickets £10 adults and £3.50 for the under 12s include a Tattie Topper supper with vegetarian option available. There will be a licenced bar. WI: the March meeting took place in the school. The president Kath Jeff welcomed members and visitors. Plans were made for a summer outing to the Lavender Farm. Sales of the 2013 quiz are going well but there is still time to obtain a copy before the closing date of May 31. The speaker for the evening was James Ward a one time lawyer and member of the magic circle. he gave an amusing talk about being a lawyer and interspersed it with intriguing magic tricks. He was thanked by Liz Witton. The next meeting is on Thursday, April 4 at 7.30pm in the school. The speaker will be Angela Henson talking about the development of the garden. The competition will be for a garden photograph.
