A family run business in Melmerby is celebrating 25 years in business with a special community gift.

Kettlewell Fuels is marking its quarter century by donating £1 for every Kerosene fuel delivery it makes to charity.

The money will be split between The Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Martin House Hospice in Boston Spa.

Operations manager, Janet Kettlewell, said: “We are proud to be marking our 25th anniversary and selected Martin House because it does marvellous work at costs of £12,000 a day, and The Yorkshire Air Ambulance because the region is fortunate to have a service of this kind which anyone could need at any time.”

The company, run by Janet Kettlewell and her husband, Trevor, a director of The Kettlewell Group, has already started its charity fund which will increase with deliveries made for 12 month period from April 2.
