Heating homes with solid walls come under scrutiny at a seminar in Northallerton later this month.
Local businesses are being invited to the Hambleton District Council run ‘Solid walls: a barrier to affordable warmth?’ conference on Thursday, October 20.
It aims to tackle the subject of insulating houses which have solid walls.
There will be discussions on the problems and potential solutions giving the perspective as a planner, regulator, social landlord, installer and homeowner.
It will also identify areas where the problems are not addressed by available solutions.
The seminar is being organised through the District Council’s ‘Heating up Hambleton’ programme which aims to ensure everyone in Hambleton stays warm.
The programme, which underpins a campaign to tackle fuel poverty and help people afford heating bills, is being delivered in partnership with the ‘Yorkshire Energy Partnership’.
The conference takes place at Evolution Business Centre on County Business Park, Northallerton.
The day starts at 9.30am.
