This week the Gazette published a letter from a reader speaking out against selective education in Ripon.

While most state-funded secondary schools are comprehensive, Ripon Grammar School – run by North Yorkshire County Council – still selects pupils with those children from the city unable to gain entry going to Outwood Academy Ripon or schools in other towns.

Do you think Ripon should adopt a comprehensive system where children of all abilities are taught at the same school or are you in favour of keeping the selective grammar school system? Vote now.
