Businesses from across Harrogate district attended a careers fair at Harrogate High School.
On the day, students attended a short career guidance meeting with their form tutor and parents as part of the school’s Pathway Planning scheme, before taking part in the fair, which this year hosted 35 businesses.
An analysis is also done on current grades and attainment levels to keep students up-to-date with their subjects.
Businesses ran a range of different activities from holding tarantulas and snakes, providing audio-visual demonstrations of their business, one-to-one discussions about working in the industry and detailing upcoming events and future opportunities employment within the local area.
Harrogate High School principal Andrew Bayston said: “I look forward to this day each and every year. Inviting a host of different organisations into the school and giving our students the opportunity to develop links and contacts within different industries is vital for their future career.”
