Ripon will soon have its own Romance Academy.
The project which will be led by The Salvation Army and the New Life Church in Ripon, is aimed at teenagers.
Young people from 14 to 17-years-old will be invited to go along and find out how to get the best out of life, love and relationships.
The project leaders said the aim of the Romance Academy is to be a fun and inspiring experience for each young participant.
They will work to build self-esteem and confidence and empower the group to explore their own attitudes and values to relationships and sexual activity in a safe environment.
It will also encourage youngsters to support each other in exploring a sex free lifestyle for the duration of the project.
The Romance Academy is built on the Channel 4 documentary No sex please, we’re teenagers! To be part of the 14 week programme go along to New Life Church on Waterskellgate, Ripon at 7pm on Tuesday, January 17.
Parents and carers are also welcome to come along.
