Ripon Grammar School is opening its doors to more children with 13 new places lined up for Year 9 students from September.
The places at the school, whose record A-level results in 2013 took it to the top of the county leader board of state schools, include four boarding places and all are being offered to current Year 8 students who will enter Year 9 at the start of the next academic year.
Students must pass a test to qualify for a place at the school – which was graded as ‘outstanding’ by Ofsted in 2012 – and testing will take place on Saturday, February 8.
Headmaster Martin Pearman said: “This is a further opportunity for prospective students to put themselves forward for a place at Ripon Grammar School. We welcome applications for both boarding and day places from families with children currently in Year 8 who are interested in joining us in September.”
The closing date for applications is January 10. For more information, visit www.ripongrammar.co.uk, email firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 01765 602647.
The school is also holding a sixth form open evening on Monday, January 27 at 6.30pm.
