Children from Masham Primary School have celebrated opening a bigger and better play area in the town.
The play area at Masham’s recreation ground has been extended and now boasts new equipment including a pendulum swing, a polo-shaped roundabout and rubber stepping pods. The equipment was chosen by children in the town including the Scouts and school pupils.
Primary school pupils, helped by artist Andy Barton, designed the new welcome sign which was unveiled at the opening party on Friday, June 17.
The refit cost £28,000 funded by Department of Education grant, organised by North Yorkshire County Council and implimented by Harrogate Borough Council.
