Anyone working with children aged up to five-years-old is invited to a conference on music at Ripon Racecourse.
The Early Years Music Network Conference 2014, organised by NYMAZ, a county-wide youth music development charity, takes place on Saturday, February 8, from 10am - 3pm.
The conference will explore how music can support language development, with expert workshops designed to enhance the skills and confidence of attendees.
Highlights from the packed programme include a talk by Marjorie Ouvry, an independent early childhood education consultant and author of Sounds like Playing, which is packed with advice about introducing music in early years settings; teaching phonics and tricky words using music, rhyme and song, with Diana Fleming and Cathy Roberts; and discovering new ideas for using songs and chants to enhance language development, with Sue Nicholls.
Tickets are £35 (£30 for Network members).
