Ashville College are once again celebrating academic success, with the grades of the day being A* and A.

78 per cent of pupils achieved at least one A* or A grade, whilst 44 per cent of results were A* or A. These results were crowned by Ashville’s very own “A Team” of Matthew Guest and Giovanni Passerello, who both achieved 10 A*s.

Results across the board were strong, 91 per cent of pupils gained at least 5 A*-C grades and a positive value added score across the board.

Ashville College Headmaster Mark Lauder said: “There is a strong pool of teaching and learning talent at our school and today’s results reflect that. I am particularly proud that our value added was positive across the board.

“These results are just reward for all the hard work that our students have put in over the years to fulfil their potential and achieve what they have today. We are proud of all our students individual successes, particularly that of Matthew and Giovanni.”

He added: “On behalf of everyone in our teaching team, I am delighted to see so many of last year’s Year 11 moving forward on their academic journey into our Sixth Form with such a strong academic foundation.

“Today’s results, wedded to last week’s A-Level performances, give a clear indication to parents of our strong and growing academic credentials which is set to continue.”
