Thirsk school pupils George Rhodes and Jake Mullins gave a presentation to their fellow Year 12s on their trip to Auschwitz in May.
The boys visit was part of the Lessons From Auschwitz Projectcreated by the Holocaust Educational Trust and now act as ambassadors.
George and Jake’s presentation focussed on what Auschwitz is like and the impact it had on them. They used photos as well as facts and figures.
Following the boy’s presentation, Arek Hersh, a Holocaust Survivor showed his documentary on his experiences through World War 2 and life in concentration camps. He then answered questions.
“the only thing we learn from history is that we don’t learn from history,” Mr Hersh said.
The Year 12 pupils then created pieces of work to convey their emotions at meeting Arek and hearing his story.
