The local Marie Curie Fundraising Team are poised for action as hundreds of thousands of daffodils arrived this week in time for their annual Great Daffodil Appeal.
Now the charity is appealing for volunteers to help make the appeal even more successful than previous years.
Each year the Great Daffodil Appeal raises funds by selling daffodil brooches in return for a donation.
Volunteers are needed to distribute boxes of daffodils across the town or lend a hand at a local collection.
Funds raised by the appeal will support the local Marie Curie Nursing team.
Area Fundraising Manager, Cheryl Barrett said: “We’ll supply everything you need including collection tins and daffodils, so it couldn’t be easier and its such a rewarding way to volunteer, whether you’ve got a couple of hours or a couple of days to spare please get in touch. ”
