Cyclist aims to complete 18 Tour stages for HG1000

In the year the Tour de France comes to Yorkshire dozens of keen cyclists have been inspired to get on their bikes and raise funds for charitable causes.

However not many people are taking things as far as Phil Eaglen, the 63-year-old from Bilton aims to complete 18 previous stages of the Tour de France which have been won by a British cyclists in just 70 days.

Phil Eaglen is setting off on themonumental 2,908 mile cycle ride this Sunday (May 18) starting in Belgium before making his way around France.
