A round-up of incidents in the Ripon area:

Tuesday, August 26:

– At 11.50pm a man reported he had been assaulted on Market Place East in Ripon. He was kept in hospital overnight and received treatment for concussion and an injury to the inside of his mouth. A man has been arrested and is on bail in connection with the incident while investigations continue.

Friday, August 29:

– At 9.15am a pet rabbit in a private garden at a withheld address had its neck broken. A male youth was interviewed in connection with the incident and denied any involvement. The incident has been closed and has been treated as an isolated incident.

– At 12.10pm a jacket was stolen from The Edinburgh Woollen Mill on Market Place East. There are no suspects.

Monday, September 1:

– At 2.30pm, two cashmere jumpers were stolen from the Edinburgh Woolen Mill. There are no suspects.

Wednesday, September 3:

– At 7.30am , a manreported his vehicle had been broken into while parked on Littlethorpe Road. Tools and hand drills were stolen to the value of £800 - £1,000. The investigation is ongoing.
