Ripon police would like information in relation to the following incidents.

Telephone 101 with any details:

Tuesday, April 22:

– A stone was thrown at a vehicle which was stopped at the traffic lights on Waterskellgate causing slight damage, at 5.30pm.

Tuesday to Wednesday, April 22-23:

– A vehicle was broken into on Doublegates Avenue and a Titan Airless Paint Sprayer stolen.

Wednesday to Thursday, April 23-24:

– A catalytic convertor was stolen from a Ford Ranger parked on North Road.

Thursday, April 24:

– A purse was stolen from a vehicle on St Olaves Close between 1-3pm.

– A Ford Focus parked on Skellbank had its window smashed, between 6-9pm.

– Between 8-8.30pm A man attended McDonalds and used a tactic called “Ringing the Changes” whereby a large amount of money is changed into smaller denominations before being asked to be changed again. The aim is to confuse the staff into handed back more money. Police advise retail staff to remain vigilant and politely decline any request.
