Arson is suspected as causing the damage to changing rooms in Boston Spa, according to police.

The incident, which saw the changing rooms at Stables Lane burned down, took place during the night on Thursday, December 4, it is thought.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman told the Wetherby News the incident is being investigated by West Yorkshire Police as arson.

“It is definitely being investigated as deliberate,” he said.

The changing rooms, formerly used by Boston Spartans Football Club, are in temporary use by Bramham Football Club.

A picture of the damage, above, was tweeted by the club on Friday, December 5.

A second tweet said: “Been down to Stables Lane and all that is left of the changing rooms is pretty much a concrete base. #EndofAnEra.”
