Cannabis with a street value of more than £50,000 was seized in a police raid.
Five men have been charged after the discovery in a Grade II listed building in Ripon.
The five appeared before Harrogate magistrates last Thursday jointly accused of producing 11.2 kilos of cannabis at Lock House, Boroughbridge Road, Ripon, beside the city’s canal.
The crimes took place between November 1 last year and February 10. The house has been on the market with an asking price of close on £300,000.
David Peter Guest, 43, of Watergate House, High Bond End, Knaresborough; James Michael Cook, 29, of Haw Lane, Yeadon, Leeds; Peter David Michael Leek, 35, of Whitecliffe Crescent, Swillington, Leeds; Grant Bilton, 20, of Broadway, Horsforth, Leeds; and Ivan Paul Bellwood, 46, of East Park Mount, Osmandthorpe, Leeds all pleaded not guilty.
They were ordered to stand trial before a judge and jury.
They were also granted unconditional bail until September 5 when the case is expected to be committed to York Crown Court.
In addition to the production charge, Leek and Guest also denied cannabis possession.
