Catterick Ladies Evening saw Judith Beckett from Astwith, near Chesterfield first past the post in the race to be crowned Best Dressed Lady Race Goer
She caught the eye of the judges in an elegant full length John Charles designed silver and cream taupe skirt, with matching top and jacket, made out of shot silk. The winning outfit was completed by a large white ‘hatinator’.
Her prizes included a £100 voucher to put towards a Kelly Clarke designed outfit, a bouquet of flowers and £50 of betting vouchers courtesy of totepool.
For racehorse owner Judith, who has a horse with local trainer Ann Duffield, the trip to Catterick was the latest in a series of Ladies Days she is attending in the lead up to her 60th birthday in September.
“I did not want a party but I wanted to do something special to mark my birthday, so I decided to treat my friends to various Ladies Day meetings up and down the country, which we have thoroughly enjoyed,” she said.
She now goes forward to the Grand Finale to find the Best Dressed Lady Racegoer in Yorkshire, which takes place at Doncaster on September 13, during the St Leger Festival.
The prize for the overall winner is a Pyjama Party for six at the Best Western Premier Mount Pleasant Hotel in Doncaster.
