An indoor market is set to open in the former home of one of Ripon’s most well known stores.
The owner of Philip Hall’s department store, which closed in mid July, has announced plans to transform the former shop into an indoor market for local producers and craftspeople.
Retail guru Mary Portas has supported markets as a way to revitalise the high street across Britain and give new businesses a chance to try their hand in a low cost environment. Now our poll asks whether an indoor market space will help Ripon.
