Main city street disruption for road resurfacing works

A main road in Ripon is set for further disruption next month as the county council starts work on paving repairs.

Allhallowgate is set to close for two weeks for road resurfacing works starting on Monday, March 4, just weeks after carriageway patching and repair work was completed on the street.

According to a letter issued by North Yorkshire County Council (NYCC), the road will be resurfaced from the junction at Victoria Grove to the junction at Stonebridgegate and St Marygate.

Low St Agnesgate will also be closed for three days from the junction at High St Agnesgate to the footpath at Cathedral Close.

The letter said vehicle access will be maintained “as far as is practical but as with all works of this nature there will be some inconvenience”.
