Two of the longest-established printing companies in the region have announced their merger.
Harrogate Printing and Platinum Print, which have both been in business since the 1980s, have yet to confirm the name of the new business, but say it will be based at Platinum Print’s existing premises at Hookstone Park, which have been extended to 24,000 sq ft to accommodate the additional printing, finishing and collating machinery.
All employees have been retained, making a combined headcount of more than 50.
David Wyvill, CEO of Platinum Print, said: “Our companies have excellent reputations for providing quality print and, by bringing together over 58 years of experience, we will now have a much broader range of products to offer our existing and future clients.”
Colin Wilding, managing director of Harrogate Printing, said: “The consolidation of all our equipment, staff and skills will take the company into the future as one of the foremost providers of quality print in the North of England.”
Platinum Print was advised by Lupton Fawcett Denison Till, and accountants Lithgow Perkins. Harrogate Printing’s advisers were Newtons Solicitors and accountants, Holeys.
