KFC eyes city outlet

Fastfood restaurant chain KFC is on the search for premises in Ripon.

The company wants to see a branch open in the city, a spokeswoman for the organisation has confirmed, and it is on the hunt for suitable premises.

“Due to popular demand from local residents we’d love to open a restaurant in Ripon, which would create 30-40 jobs,” she said.

“KFC can be a positive addition to any community but it’s early days and we’re still looking for a suitable site, and we hope to have some good news in the future.”
