Welcome to the 2014 Harrogate Advertiser series Business Awards.
The hunt for the district’s best businesses and businesspeople begins today, and you can enter by clicking here now.
The awards, which are now in their ninth year, are open to businesses trading in the circulation area of the Harrogate Advertiser, Knaresborough Post, Wetherby News, Nidderdale Herald and Ripon Gazette – a huge area stretching from Masham in the north to Harewood in the south.
The awards cover every business sector, and sponsors include Leeds Bradford Airport, Harrogate Chamber of Commerce, Harrogate Borough Council, Berwins solicitors, Saffery Champness, Cicada Communications and Covance.
The awards dinner will be held at Harrogate International Centre on Wednesday, May 21.
The awards are easy to enter – just visit http://www.harrogateadvertiser.co.uk/businessawards. The site lists all the criteria for each category, and businesses may enter as many categories as they wish. Entry is free.
The closing date for entries is noon on Friday, April 4.
The editor of Ackrill Advertiser series, Jean MacQuarrie, said the awards were an excellent way to recognise and reward business success.
“There are signs that the economy is slowly turning a corner, but it’s still tough out there, which means these awards are even more important,” she said.
“It’s all too easy to forget sometimes that there are some extremely innovative, dynamic and successful businesses in our part of North and West Yorkshire, and these awards go some way towards recognising and celebrating them.”
