Four days to Awards deadline
It’s not too late to make your nominations for the Ackrill
Media Group Business Awards, but you’d better be quick – the deadline for entries falls at noon this Monday, March 11.
Entries have flooded in over the last couple of weeks, and the honours have turned out to be just as hotly contested as ever; last year, well over 100 nominations were received across the 13 categories.
The awards, which are sponsored by Harrogate and Pateley Bridge estate agent Verity Frearson, are open to businesses in the circulation area of the Harrogate Advertiser, Wetherby News, Knaresborough Post, Ripon Gazette and Nidderdale Herald.
There are 13 awards in all:
Young Entrepreneur
Best Rural Business
Tourism Award
Green Award
Employee of the Year
Employer of the Year
Best Small Company
Best Medium Company
Best Large Company
Best Company Website
Harrogate Borough Council Award
Business Personality of the Year
Lifetime Achievement Award
Each award category is sponsored by a local business name, such as Leeds Bradford Airport, Windsor House, Si Recruitment and Saffery Champness – as well as Harrogate’s Borough Council and Chamber of Commerce.
Entering online is easy – just scroll down and click on the Business Awards link on the right-hand side of this screen.
The site lists all the criteria for each category, and businesses may enter as many categories as they wish.
Entry is free. The closing date is noon on Monday, March 11, and judging will take place that week.
The awards dinner, the highlight of the district’s business calendar, will be held at Harrogate International Centre on Thursday, April 25.
* Questions and queries about the Awards should be directed to Ginny Long on 01423 707 402.
