A marketing company has moved its head office from Nidderdale to Harrogate to enable it to cope with rapid growth.

Amvoc, which has grown to employ more than 140 people across four offices since it was founded in Dacre just six years ago, will base 70 staff at its new headquarters at Cardale Park.

Director Sam Cox said: “Although we still have our Nidderdale roots with two offices in Summerbridge, we had outgrown these and filled our new Manchester office within four months last year so needed a much larger new facility to accommodate such rapid growth.”

Amvoc signed two major new contracts before Christmas and will be recruiting a further 150 people over the next six months. Plans have also been drawn up for another new building in the centre of Harrogate to accommodate the new projects.

Founder and managing director Damian Brockway said: “This time we are looking at additional offices with a minimum of 10,000 square feet.

“I am so proud of our management team and have to say that the Yorkshire work ethic is the best I have ever seen in the UK.”
