Bedale’s first fete

Have your say

The Bedale Bank Holiday Gala will be held at Bedale Hall on Monday, August 29.

The gala, organised by the Bedale Chamber of Trade and Tourism, will be a free event which aims to promote the local area and the businesses in it.

This will be the town’s first big summer event and it already has a lot of support from The Black Horse in Kirby Fleetham.

The pub will be hosting a live cooking demo which will feature local produce and can be reproduced at home.

The mobile kitchen will then host a demonstration by bread-makers Bread Actually.

Resident baker Susannah Vickers will be showing how to make a loaf of bread.

More foody treats will be on offer at The Northern Dales Farmer’s Market taking place in the grounds.

Inside will be a host of indoor stalls and the Black Horse will be running the indoor bar serving the summer favourite – Pimms.
