Austin Williams, of Ripon, claimed second place at the UK Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation British Championships held at the Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham, earlier this month.
Austin was pleased with the step up as he had won third place in 2013 and 2014 in the Classic Bodybuilding Class.
Austin has had a very busy and successful year so far, competing in the Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic in Columbus, Ohio, back in March where he placed sixth and then went on to win first place at the Bodypower Expo at the NEC, Birmingham in May.
He also won first place at the Cumbrian Classic at Workington in June and second place at the English Grand Prix, High Wycombe, in July.
All these wins qualified him to enter the Arnold Classic Bodybuilding Contest held in Madrid in September, where he was placed in the top 15.
They also qualified him to enter the British Championships, which is such a large contest it is held over two days and a credit to win the silver medal.
Austin will be competing next at the Amateur Olympia to be held in the Echo Arena, Liverpool on Sunday, November 1, where he will compete against the world’s best.
