Moyet and Jools for Harrogate

JOOLS Holland has announced another visit to Harrogate - and he will be joined by Alison Moyet.

The pianist, TV presenter and band leader is to bring his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra to Harrogate International Centre on Sunday, November 21.

As always on these jaunts, there's a guest singer or two in tow and this year the star is Alison Moyet who enjoyed great success lat year with The Best Of Alison Moyet collection.

Moyet said: "I first sang with Jools in the early 80s on The Tube on TV. Taking part in his tour will be both a fabulous sea change and a return to the beginning. It's a great thing being invited to work with musicians of this fine calibre."

This annual tour has seen Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra perform to four and a half million people around the UK, and continues to acknowledge and highlight the vocal brilliance of the legendary Ruby Turner and soulful Louise Marshall.

They will be joined again this year by ska /reggae icon Rico Rodriguez.

Tickets are on sale now priced at 32.50 and are available from Harrogate International Centre box office tel 0845 130 8840, or online at www.harrogateboxoffice.co.uk

THE HIC is also welcoming one of Britain's most famous, soul-drenched British voices next week- Paul Carrack.

Famous from his vocals on hits by Squeeze, Ace, and Mike + The Mechanics, plus his own parade of under-appreciated albums including his new album I Know That Name, Carrack plays Harrogate, International Centre next Thursday, March 4.
