Local band The Conspirators are celebrating reaching number 2 in the UK Text Charts with their latest single Jekyll & Hyde.

The indie folk song, a story about someone with a split personality, was released on Monday, March 19, with a video filmed at the Druid’s Temple folly, near Masham.

The band have sinceplayed several shows to promote the release.

Guitarist John Gillies said: “We are so pleased people have taken to our song so well.

“We owe a lot to local support and from a very loyal fan base. I can’t wait for our album release in the summer.”

The Text Chart regulates the top selling ‘text to download’ sales.

Jekyll & Hyde is available through most major online retailers.
