ONE hundred years of Girlguiding was celebrated by the Knaresborough Division Guides at a centenary party night held at Rudding Park last weekend.
A total of 260 girls took part in the event which saw Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Senior Section, Trefoil and Leaders come together to mark the special occasion which was part of the Girlguiding UK Centenary celebrations.

“It was a wonderful night which we all enjoyed so much,” said Julie Finn, Knaresborough Town District Commissioner.

“There was a buffet and also entertainment with magician, Bob’s Your Uncle, for the younger members, whilst the older girls could enjoy the disco. We’d especially like to thank Rudding Hall for such a wonderful party, and for helping sponsor the event. The evening concluded with cutting a special centenary cake.”
