The gardens of 24 Red Bank Road, Ripon (S)

The gardens of 24 Red Bank Road will be open to visitors on Sunday.

Margaret and David Rivers, who will be opening for the National Gardens Scheme, are holding the first of two viewing days which will help raise money for charity.

The gardens, which are off Whitcliffe Lane, Ripon will be open between 2pm and 5pm on Sunday and again on Wednesday, May 16.

The garden contains a selection of alpines, several species peonies, perennials and shrubs.

Pictured above are alpines on one of the rockeries and in the foreground the white flowers of the tree peony rockii which last year had over 40 blooms.

There will be a plant stall with locally produced plants and tea and cakes.

Admission is £2.50 with children going free.
