Insp Thorpe leaves Ripon police

Ripon and Pateley Bridge Insp Rob Thorpe left Ripon police at the end of 2012.

Colleagues said he is now based in York and is working for a different service in the police. He will be replaced by Insp Nigel Slater today (Thursday).

Insp Slater has previously worked with North Yorkshire Police as an inspector in the Dales.
