THE Harrogate Symphony Orchestra is celebrating a long-awaited return to the Royal Hall with a magnificent concert of operatic favourites in celebration of the life and work of Lilian Mina.
Welcoming the Halifax Choral Society, the concert will feature classic operatic excerpts from Carmen, Tosca, La Traviata and others, and will conclude with a rousing performance of Beethoven’s Symphony No 9.

“We have been proudly supporting the fu
nd-raising efforts to restore the Royal Hall to its former glory and we couldn’t think of a more appropriate hall-warming concert,” said conductor Bryan Western.

“This really will be an Ode to Joy for everyone who has patiently supported us in various venues over the past few years.

“We hope to welcome back regular audience members and introduce ourselves to people who may not have heard us, but want a joyful night out in a simply stunning venue.”

The orchestra and choir are welcoming back audience favourite Dominic Natoli (tenor) alongside internationally successful soloists Anne Williams-King (Soprano), Monica Brett-Crowther (Mezzo-Soprano), and David Kempster (Baritone).

The concert will be Saturday, June 7, at 7.30pm at the Royal Hall. Tickets £15 & £12, under 11s free, available from Harrogate International Centre 0845 130 8840.
