Mercer Art Gallery urges local artists to enter this year's open exhibition

THIS summer the Mercer Art Gallery in Harrogate will be putting on its Open Exhibition with local artists invited to submit entries.
Artists have the chance to have their work shown in the Gallery and win a top prize of £200, a runners up prize of £100 or a highly commended award of £50.

There’ll also be the opportunity to sell work and an invitation to a Mercer private view.

The selectors will be Yorkshire landscape painter Simon Palmer; Wakefield’s Senior Cultural Officer and Curator of the Wakefield Art Gallery, Antonio Vella, and Jane Sellars, Curator of Art for Harrogate Borough Council.

Submission dates are Thursday, July 10 to Sunday, July 13. Entry fee is £5 (concessions £3) per work and you can enter upto three works.
